Lisburn Taekwondo Club had a fantastic weekend at the German Open 2023. Very high standard of competition with over 600 athletes from 20 different nations.
To compete and medal at events like this you would need to be a full time athlete putting in a minimum of 4 to 6 hours training every day. The performances from many athletes was outstanding. A great event and exceptionally well run with great judging over the 4 courts.
Master Peter Stewart, Laura Burns (4th Dan), Amy Stewart (3rd Dan), & Candice Winter (2nd Dan) all took part.
Amy earned a very respectable 5th place in the Freestyle event representing Great Britain.
As always plenty to take away and work on.
